Ireland's artisan traditions are a living inheritance — and at Weave & Bloom Collective, we're committed to keeping them vital. Our cultural heritage preservation initiatives teach traditional craft techniques rooted in Irish making culture: from Aran-pattern weaving structures and Celtic metalwork motifs to regional pottery traditions that pre-date mass production.

These programs welcome heritage organisations, museum partners, cultural tourists, immigrant communities preserving ancestral traditions, and civic groups seeking participatory experiences that honour and extend artisan knowledge across generations.

Craft has always been a social act. Our inclusive creative events bring families, teenagers, older adults, faith-based groups, and neighbourhood associations together around the making table — fostering connections as meaningful as the objects they create.

Family Craft Days

Saturday family sessions designed for parents and children aged 6 and up to make together. No experience required — just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Family craft activities include clay animals, woven wall hangings, and simple jewellery making.

Our Story

About the Studio and Teaching Philosophy

Weave & Bloom Collective was founded at 14 Merchant's Arch in Temple Bar on a simple conviction: that making things with your hands is one of the most deeply human — and deeply social — acts there is. We are an accessible arts education studio committed to craft, culture, and community.

Our teaching approach is rooted in three values. Craftsmanship: we believe in doing things properly, learning the fundamentals thoroughly before pushing boundaries. Inclusion: every workshop is designed to welcome people regardless of age, background, or prior experience. Cultural continuity: we take seriously our role as custodians of living traditions, ensuring that ancient techniques remain part of Dublin's creative identity.

Our instructors are practising artisans — not just educators. They bring authentic craft knowledge and a genuine love of teaching to every session. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned maker returning for mentorship, you'll find a Dublin creative community that takes your work seriously.
